Vena Howard

Chicago native, Vena Howard is a proud graduate from Augustana College with a bachelors in Psychology. As a young girl she was always fascinated with the mind and its functions. On the hunt to answer the age old question of why people do what they do. Her curiosity led her to a closer lens with landing work behind the scenes in production with NBC, FOX, and FX. She has graced both the big screen and television screen portraying compelling characters that illuminates the missing girls in Chicago’s westside (“The Chi”), the love story of queer black women (The Funnel), and the nurses fighting front line in the pandemic (7:11). As a forever student of the craft Vena has continued her quest on humanity studying at Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She hopes to continue to authentically represent the stories of the untold with the utmost compassion and empathy.
