Mitra Samei
Mitra is an NYC-based Iranian-Finnish-American actor, singer, dancer, thinker, explorer, and shapeshifter who “contains multitudes” and approaches her work with passion, creativity, and fierce originality. Mitra grew up hearing of family members risking their lives to practice art, and understood from an early age that creating and consuming art is a sacred privilege. Mitra longs to embody the radically diverse yet universal experience of being human, on both stage and screen.
Mitra holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch/Stella Adler Studio, where she also completed two musical theatre training programs.
Favorite roles include: Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Stella Adler Studio, and Rona in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Playmakers Repertory Company SYC.
