Emerson Reed
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Emerson (they/them) is currently based in New York and Boston. Prior to moving to NYC, they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and American Sign Language Interpreting from William Woods University.
Em is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, eager to help bring even more queer stories to the stage and screen. They also work as an American Sign Language Interpreter. They are a passionate advocate for all artists having the opportunity to share their craft, regardless of any difference in ability.
Some of Em’s recent and favorite roles include: Aktor in Syrma; a new play in development by Carolina de’ Castiglioni, Thomas Stockman in a recent adaptation of An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen, Lizzy Bennet in Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill, and Peter Pan in Peter/Wendy by Jeremy Bloom.
