Charles Thomas Budan

Charles Thomas Budan is a New York-based actor and filmmaker from Eastern Iowa. As a teenager, Charles was enchanted by Westerns and Crime sagas before digging deeper into foreign movies and documentaries. But his frustration with the lack of filmmaking opportunities in his hometown inspired him to look for a new creative outlet. He found it in the local community theatre scene where he discovered his love for plays both new and classic.

Charles graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Acting and a Minor in Film. His fondest memory from his time at Stella Adler was going lovesick-in-the-head as Twelfth Night’s Malvolio. He wrote, directed, and starred in a short film adaptation of Eugene O’Neil’s A Wife For A Life and has gotten a taste for producing his own work. In his spare time he enjoys listening to rock music and riding his bike.
