Arezu Tavakoli
Arezu is an Iranian-Argentinian-American actor based in New York City. She hails from Flint, Michigan, and is an alumnus of the Interlochen Arts Academy.
She spent the first 15 years of her life training in ballet and other dance styles, being lucky enough to attend programs like Alvin Ailey and train with Lauren Anderson. However, as time passed, her desire to act grew until she finally made the switch and decided to pursue acting full-time.
Since then, she has been blessed with several opportunities. Some favorites include G in Martyna Majok’s Sanctuary City (Interlochen Shakespeare Festival – awarded best actress in a play), Magdalene in the short film Penitent, and Vanessa in In the Heights.
After graduation, she plans to keep full steam ahead. She’s “Built Flint Tough” and knows that with trust, perseverance, and an open heart, anything is possible.
