Henry Warren Beatty (March 30, 1937) is an American Actor and filmmaker. Throughout his career he has been nominated several times in the Academy Awards including four Best Actor, four for Best Picture, two for Best Director, three for Original Screenplay, and one for Adapted Screenplay. He won Best Director for his film Reds (1981).
Among his many achievements, he was awarded the Academy’s highest honor of receiving the Irving G. Thalberg Award in 1999. Beatty was also nominated for sixteen Golden Globes, winning six for Splendor in the Grass (1961), Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Shampoo (1967), Dick Tracy (1990), Bugsy (1991), Bulworth (1998), and Rules Don’t Apply (2016), all of which he produced.
