Stephanie Yankwitt (she/her) is a Casting Director and owner of the NYC based TBD Casting Co., which specializes in casting new work across all mediums including Theatre, Television and Film. New York Theatre highlights include Frankie & Johnny in the Clare de Lune by Terrence McNally, starring Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon, Zora Howard’s Stew at Page 73 Productions, and Jackie Sibblies Drury’s Fairview for Soho Rep and Theatre for a New Audience, which won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This past Spring, tbd cast the first season of a hybrid docuseries for Disney+, which was Produced by frequent collaborators Culture House and executive produced by Brie Larson. In the film world, Stephanie was the NY Casting Associate for the feature film Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), and since that time has collaborated with one of the film’s writers, Alex Dinelaris, on a number of projects, including several in development with his banner Lexicon Films. Other projects include the independent films Give Me Liberty (Official selection: Sundance Film Festival; Cannes Fortnight; BAMcinemaFest), The Extinction of Fireflies starring Michael Urie and Drew Droege, and Take Care starring Leslie Bibb and Tom Sadoski. TBD Casting Co. is the resident casting office for Soho Repertory Theatre, and frequent collaborators of Tectonic Theater Project in NYC, The Playwrights Center in Minneapolis, La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego. Together with Peter Flynn, Stephanie developed a course at Adler called P.R.O.S. (Professional Resources Outside of School) which she co-taught for 10 years in all three full time programs. Stephanie is a member of the CSA and sits on the Equity in Entertainment Committee.
