Stacey Abeles

  • Ballet

A native New Yorker, Stacey Abeles grew up in Queens.  For nearly 10 years, Stacey was a Radio City Rockette and performed with the world famous precision dance troupe at their iconic home at Radio City Music Hall, as well as on live television, film, theaters and arenas across the country.  Stacey also served as a brand ambassador, teaching master classes in the Rockettes’ signature precision style to dancers of all ages.  Other Career Highlights include the National Tour of Crazy for You, regional productions of West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, A Funny Thing…, the Who’s Tommy, and the Crucible.  Stacey has appeared on film in Julie Taymor’s Beatles musical “Across the Universe” and on television shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Michael Buble’s Christmas, New York Live, MTV, CMT and numerous commercials.   An avid educator, Stacey has taught and choreographed for actors and dancers of all ages, levels and styles of dance.  Stacey holds a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for which she received the Lewis Rudin Scholarship and Tisch Scholars Honors.  Other training includes Music Theatre at Trinity College of Music in London, Atlantic Theater Company in NYC, Second City in Chicago, the Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet Theater in NYC.  Stacey studied the Fosse Style with legendary dancers Ann Reinking and Gwen Verdon and received her Ballet Teacher Training Certification from Master Teacher Kat Wildish at Alvin Ailey in NYC.
