Matthew Arkin has over 50 years of experience in film, television, and theater: Film credits include Death to Smoochy, Liar, Liar, North, An Unmarried Woman, and Chu Chu and the Philly Flash, as well as indies Margot at the Wedding, Second Best, and Raising Flagg. Among his TV credits are Hawaii Five-0, Get Shorty, Bull, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Switched at Birth, Law and Order (Original, SVU, and Criminal Intent); His extensive Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Regional Theater credits include the revival of Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, his Drama Desk-nominated performance originating the role of Gabe in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Dinner with Friends and the West Coast premiere of The Whale; He was formerly Director of the South Coast Repertory Acting Intensive Program, is an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and
Media Arts, and teaches acting privately in Los Angeles. He studied with Uta Hagen and Austin Pendleton, and taught at the world renowned HB Studio in New York City.
