Jon Korkes’ acting career began Off-Broadway in 1968, when working as a reader in the auditions for Jules Feiffer’s Little Murders, he was cast by director Alan Arkin in the actual production and then again a year later in the film version. Since then, he’s had the good fortune to work with and learn from an extraordinary collection of writers, directors and actors, among them: Mr Arkin, Jules Feiffer, Mike Nichols, Austin Pendleton,, Buck Henry, Billy Wilder, Herb Gardner, I.A.L. Diamond, Joan Darling, Mark Rydell, David Rabe, David Milch, Tom Fontana, George C Scott, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Vincent Gardenia, and Elizabeth Wilson. In 1971, Walter Kerr cited him as one of most promising actors of the Broadway season for his work in Philip Roth’s Unlikely Heroes.

Jon has taught a master class for working actors in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He is also active as a writer, director, and voice over artist.
This year marks his 50th as a working actor and his 10th year teaching scene study at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
