Geoffrey Owens

Geoffrey Owens has taught Acting and Shakespeare at HB Studio, Yale University, Columbia University, Pace, Primary Stages, the FSU-Asolo Conservatory, and the Cicely Tyson School of the Arts. He has directed productions for the Brooklyn Shakespeare Company (which he founded), Stamford Theater Works, HB Playwrights Foundation, NYU Tisch School, and Fordham University. As an actor, he has appeared on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet (with Orlando Bloom), in Salome (with Al Pacino), in Race at the Goodman Theatre, as well as in numerous productions at The Public Theater, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf Theatre, Two River Theatre, CSC Rep, Dallas Theater Center, and the Shakespeare Theater of Washington DC.
