Cristina Duarte is director, actor and teacher. A member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), she has directed numerous productions in NYC and Santa Fe, NM including the premier of Jon Jory’s comic farce, The Almost Unbelievable Christmas Spectacular! Most recently she directed Pass Over by Antoinette Nwandu, at the Buchwald Theatre and Bike Wreck by Qui Nguyen at Brooklyn College. For further credits visit: www.cristinaduartedirector.com

Cristina has taught acting and theatre studies at Brooklyn College, Hunter College and The Santa Fe University of Art and Design where she served as Lead Faculty for the Performing Arts Department. She is the proud recipient of the “2019-2020 Teaching Fellowship” from Brooklyn College, the 2018, “Singer Family Award for Excellence in Teaching” from the University of Rochester, and the 2013 “Partners in Excellence Award” from Young Audiences NY. Cristina has an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College, an MA in Theatre Arts from Hunter College and a BA in Literature from Bard College.
