Film & Television Acting Intensive

The Film and Television Acting Intensive is a cutting edge, one-of-a-kind course providing immersive and comprehensive education in all areas of on-camera acting, including an extensive investigation of the film industry and business.

This five-week intensive is designed to help the actor address, de-mystify and master the challenges they face in audition, on set and on location in all film and digital media. Being taught by the finest Master Teachers in Los Angeles, students will take classes in such topics as On Camera Scene Study, Film Technique, From the Script to the Sound Stage, Audition Technique and Reel Development. In addition, students will meet, once weekly, with industry casting directors, agents, managers, directors and actors in order to better prepare the student to navigate the professional world.

The Film and Television Acting Intensive is the only program of its kind. Designed for the trained actor, this program will utterly prepare actors for the any and all unique challenges those mediums hold.

Admission Information

Admission to the Film & Television Acting Intensive is by invite or audition only. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Applicant must submit the following:

  1. A completed Online Application Form
  2. Use this online form to submit your self-tape
  3. Headshot (Photo) and Resume (CV)
  4. A $50 non-refundable application fee (payable to Art of Acting Studio)

Once the studio receives the submitted application and supporting materials, an associate will contact the applicant to schedule the interview. Interviews will be conducted online via Zoom.

The Audition:

For your audition, a self-tape is required. Kindly treat this as you would a professional opportunity. You must record the following:

  1. A contemporary/realism monologue from a published play that is memorized and should be no longer than 90 seconds in length.
  2. Select ONE of these three scenes below. If you identify as non-binary you are free to choose which role you would like to read.

Please ensure you have good lighting and sound is audible. Please do not merge videos. Each video must be titled as LAST NAME_FIRST NAME_CHARACTER/MONOLOGUE

Auditions will not be reviewed without a submitted application. You should hear back from a member of our Admissions Team within 14 days of submission.
